Today we're having a Red Carpet party at Smith Micro. There are prizes for the most votes with the Academy, the least votes with the Academy and the best attire. The rules: either red carpet attire or dress up as a character nominated in a movie. The attire competition is my favorite because I like any excuse to dress up. I'm not alone here.
My boss looks ravishing in a long black evening gown with her hair swept up. One of my coworkers is dressed up as Julia Childs -- she made cookies too. Bon appetite! I really wanted to wear a bikini top with my cut off shorts and fishnets a la Tank Girl because that's what I would wear on the red carpet, but I figured it wouldn't be work appropriate.
That got us talking. Is there a dress code for the Oscars? Could Terai Yuki by ClauDe wear this on the red carpet? I think yes. But The Boss disagrees. I think I'm right.
I guess we all have our own style. If we didn't, there wouldn't be the best and worst dressed commentary. I think there are some great ideas for the red carpet done in Poser in our Facebook Gallery.
