Is it just me, or were some of the things made for children not really appropriate for kids? I remember being at the playground hanging precariously ten feet in the air above ... concrete? Can that be right?
And then there were the children's movies. The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland were two of my favorites. As I got older I realized how thoroughly creepy they were! Flying monkeys and melting witches? No wonder kids are afraid of the dark!
The Cheshire Cat never scared me as a kid. Then I look at Smith Micro's Cheshire Cat and wonder if maybe I missed something: big...pointy...teeth! If I ran into him in the forest, I'd probably turn the other way, even as an adult.
