I'm a fan of the earth. It gives us water to drink, food to eat, air to breath, gravity to keep us on the ground and other things necessary to keep us alive. It's why I choose to celebrate Earth Day as often as possible (Plus I really just like to celebrate) by doing my best to reduce my impact on the planet.
There are a lot of different ways to reduce your carbon footprint. One I'm particularly fond of is growing and eating your own food. Not everyone is able to do this because of where they live, but buying locally grown crops is almost as good.
California produces loads of almonds, so although I don't have a tree (like the one pictured, which you can find at Content Paradise), I can eat tons of almond butter and still feel pretty good about it. If you live in the U.S. you can check out Local Harvest, a website that tells you what's in season in your area, where local farms, markets and co-ops are, and even where to find restaurants serving local food.
Happy Earth Day from everyone at Smith Micro Software. Here's to making the world a better place for everyone!
