When I first came to Smith Micro, I was given a MacBook to work on. The company isn't really Mac or PC; there's probably an equal number of both.
The thing is, I was always more of a PC gal. But I figured variety is the spice of life, so I just went with it. And after a few weeks of feeling like a kindergartner trying to read Ayn Rand, I got the hang of it.
It's been about 6 months and my Mac is getting tired. It's sick of my duplicate files and the stupid applications I installed but never use. It's whining, and I just keep ignoring it. I hate to admit it, but I'm scared to tackle this beast.
Coincidentally, Smith Micro has just launched a new site dedicated to people in my exact predicament. CleanUpYourMac.com has articles, tips and tricks on how to keep your Mac working like it did on Day 1. The people who wrote it (read: not me) know their stuff.
I'm putting my Mac through the paces. I'll keep you posted with the results.
