Kaz Mayeda, and Painting in Manga Studio

Posted by Smith Micro Blogger on Aug 7, 2012 2:20:10 AM

Manga Studio is as versatile as it is robust. One artists who uses that versatility is Kaz Mayeda from Southern California. An illustrator, Kaz has a talent with storyboards. We featured him in a User’s Story piece here. As an artist, Kaz praises Manga Studio’s tools, and puts his own spin on things.

Unlike many Manga Studio users, Kaz has a unique ‘paint’ style in many of his works. We love it when users push the limits of our software, and Kaz does just that with his art. He says on his blog that "These studies were painted using Manga Studio EX4 based on the ballpoint sketches of a pick-up basketball game from my previous post. I mostly used various Pencils on these. Coloring without exporting to Photoshop seems more and more feasible."

You can find Kaz’s personal blog here, and follow him on Twitter!/kazillo.
